Gutech Engenharia performs volume calculation by 3D laser scanning: piles of biomass, wood chips, grain, ore and other bulk materials, as well as cut and fill areas, backfill, earthworks and vegetation clearing. The measurement is fast, done without contact with the material and without stopping the operation.
The scan produces a point cloud and a 3D model of the surface. By comparing this model with the base (floor, original ground or an earlier survey), we calculate the volume in m³ with far more accuracy than manual or estimated cubing. With the material density, the volume can also be converted into tons.
We deliver a technical report with the volumes, 3D model images, plans and sections, with ART. Periodic measurements allow you to control stock and inventory, verify job quantities for contractor measurement and track the evolution of yards and earthwork areas.
